Obtaining this achievement is not as hard it sounds even in Hard difficulty it is quite straight forward. It is completely possible to complete all side quests in the game and still receive this achievement. Unfortunately if you lock out the achievement by accident, unless you are aware that you did so and reload an old save, there is no indication that you have done so and may end up playing through the game and not get the achievement due to killing a character earlier in the game.

This achievement starts from the first moment of the game, when Adam Jensen is not yet augmented killing anyone in the prologue chapter will lock out this achievement. This can be used to briefly stun (recommended) armored enemies in order to move past them when combat is unavoidable. The use of weapons will NOT lock out the achievement, if the enemy survives.

Killing enemy soldiers during a boss fight will lock out this achievement. The only exception to this is the boss fights where killing the boss, and the boss only, is permitted while preserving the ability to obtain this achievement. The aim is to complete the game without killing anyone directly, or someone dying as a result of an action taken by the player.

This excludes boss fights, which do not give you a choice about killing the antagonist. It is earned by completing the game without anyone dying by your hand. If you try a combat takedown on him when he’s unhindered - you won’t be able to go toe to toe with him, and will suffer damage.100 Pacifist is an achievement/trophy in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. He’s also very susceptible to being stunned by large EMP blasts when not in under his titan shield. While tranquilizer shots to the head will only briefly stun him, shoot enough of them into his cranium and he will eventually fall. If you want to take him on non-lethally, it’s surprisingly easier than it sounds. He’ll also has enhanced jumping to get to the second floor fast, and can activate his own Titan Shield to block all incoming damage. He’s also pretty quick to give chase, so make use of vents, blind corners, and anything you can to ditch him. Marchenko himself is no push-over: he’s got a giant plasma gun coming out of his arm that he will fire at will, and can deal incredible damage fast. The last laptop behind the central turret can be used to disable it.

The level 5 locked terminal on the top left in a room behind several large crates can disable (or turn) the robots and turn off the cameras (and there’s a Square Enix Triangle Code next to it), while the level 5 locked security terminal surrounded by gas and frag mines by a bar can disable (or turn) his drones and central turret. If you are stealthy enough, you can reach them without being spotted. Also note that on the top floor, on both sides, there are two locked security laptops - and the third laptop at the opposite end of the main lobby. Smart Vision and Remote Hacking will be invaluable here to get rid of or blind traps to level the playing field. Marchenko isn’t alone, so to speak, he’s rigged the entire arena with drones, bots, turrets, laser tripwires, and mines. If you wish to take him out non-lethally, or just want a good ol’ shootout, put the item away (although you can equip it during the fight and use it like a Multi-tool to kill him). This will end the fight without a single shot fired - but Marchenko will die. After he demands you show yourself, you can instead reveal the killswitch, and ask him to surrender - which he will not. If you didn’t cause any alarms, nobody should be here, otherwise you may find a few mercs to contend with before you reach Marchenko himself at the end of the hall.Īs Marchenko gives his grand speech, you have a rare opportunity. When the long hall turns left - follow it. Knowing that, to find Marchenko, leave the catering area and head back down to the Reception Hall, and drop to the first floor and enter the doors at the end.
